Tastes Awful! -
Let me start off by saying that I am a big fan of airborne (grapefruit, especially) and that I really wanted to give this a good review...but it tastes awful. It tastes like hot acidic/vinegarish liquid, and has no appealing qualities at all.
I was only able to drink a couple sips before tossing it all away. So, while flavor isn't everything...if you can't stomach an entire mug of this stuff you certainly won't be able to reap its rewards.

richness or poor? -
In general(and I am no know-it-all to uniqueness) if you like sweet or ultra sweetened teas, fancy coffee's and rich foods this is for you,(and you are not prone to a sour stomach in the morning.) if you prefer bitter hot or sour tastes and black coffee, skim milk and think 1% is "creamy" then you are going to hate it. That's what I know about my own tastes(I hate white things! and hate ultra sweetness!) and that of my parents and friends.(who drink lotte's at the Starbuck's Coffee house and smirk at me as I eat sour pickles and drink lemon juice.) Ironically, a sour stomach is cured by sour tastes like orange peels and lemon juice heated very hot. This stuff is rich, as rich as a sickning soap opra and about as nausiating.(cinimon and cider paired are for the cast ironed sugar jockey).
Taste is awful! -
I know that taste is a personal thing, but I should have never strayed from my trusty orange-flavored Airborne! This apple-cider version, which you are to prepare with hot water, has such a terrible taste that I can't even use it! I can't imagine anyone would like it.
It's supposed to be a night-time formula that helps you sleep, but I honestly don't know if that works because I can't bring myself to choke down a whole mug-full of it. I don't know what they were thinking when they came up with this flavor, but it is repellent!
I agree with the PP who recommended sticking with the orange or lemon-lime.
Too bad, because I really like Airborne as a product, and was hoping for the best with this one.
The effectiveness is a 5, don't get me wrong, but -
the flavor, apple cider, is horrible. It is sweet and cinammony, bleh. Stick to orange 4 or lemon lime 5 star flavor.

Great product. Taken at bedtime with hot water; helps you sleep. Very effective product. Just as good as the daytime Airborne. I don't go anywhere without my Airborne! (Make sure you take some along when you fly; never fails!)
